Bachelor of Science - Animal Science
While pursuing the B.S. in Animal Science degree, students study domestic livestock, including sheep, cattle, goats, swine, horses and poultry. The curriculum includes a strong emphasis on biological and physical sciences, as well as animal health, nutrition, reproduction and management.
Graduates are prepared for further studies leading to careers in veterinary or human medicine. They are also well-prepared for entry level positions in animal and biotechnology industries, Cooperative Extension, agricultural research, and government agencies such as the United States Department of Agriculture, the Food and Drug Administration, and others. Through summer internships, students will explore future career options regionally and internationally.
