Natural Resource Sustainability
Farmers aim to be good stewards of the land, however, a lack of knowledge about the importance of natural resources and how to use them in sustainable ways often results in misuse and in practices that are detrimental to water and land resources over time. Extension at N.C. A&T cooperates with partners across the state to share research-based information and conduct educational programs that teach small farmers, communities, and individuals how to protect North Carolina’s natural resources. Through hands-on programs and a wide range of resources, we encourage practices that ensure a safe food supply and healthy land that can sustain community needs.
