College of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences
2 1/2 & 3-Year-Old Classroom
The Creative Curriculum is designed for early childhood programs. The children in this classroom explore blocks, dramatic play, manipulative materials, books, a sand/water table, and discovery centers in math and science, music, computer, and writing. It also provides teachers, researchers and students with an understanding of how children grow and learn. This classroom offers a variety of activities that integrate physical, intellectual, and social-emotional stimulation.
Teachers
Hello! My name is Ms. Charryse Jones. I am one of the lead teachers in the 2½ - 3-year-old classroom. I have 26 years of experience working with children and families. I have a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education from Ashford University with a Level 11 Early Educator Certification as determined by the North Carolina Institute for Child Development Professionals. My professional development has been shaped by a diverse array of training initiatives, providing me with a well-rounded skill set and a deepened understanding of early childhood education practices. My biggest reward when working with children is knowing that I helped a child to develop and grow, gave hope and love, and taught them to believe in themselves. My hobbies include reading, traveling, listening to music, and spending time with family and friends.
