The full title of the play is “The Tragedy of Othello, the Moor of Venice,” written by William Shakespeare in 1603. The production is a rare example of a dramatic work by Shakespeare that remained popular in performance during the latter half of the 17th and 18th century and remains relevant today.

A leader in transportation technology and autonomous research, North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University opened its rural test track and demonstrated its autonomous vehicles Tuesday, Nov. 1. One of the only rural tracks in the nation, the university unveiled a unique fleet of connected self-driving shuttles to be used for testing and developing advanced technologies for public transportation. Once testing is complete for the next phase, the vehicles will be cleared for deployment between the university’s campus and downtown Greensboro–allowing riders to experience leading autonomous innovation first-hand.

Alexis Black, an honors senior multimedia journalism student at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University, has been named to the sixth class of Rhoden Fellows. The program is a training initiative for aspiring journalists from historically Black colleges and universities (HBCUs) in partnership with Andscape, a “reimagination, expansion and diversification of The Underfeated’s former platform.” Black is A&T’s fourth fellow, following Alexis Davis, East Dockery and Donovan Dooley’s participation in 2021, 2019 and 2018, respectively. She will join five cohort members from Alabama State University, Florida A&M University, Hampton University, Howard University and Xavier University.

The HBCU National Center program was “established by the Honorable Jacqueline M. Lewis to foster experiential learning, mentorship, and networking” and aims to help make internship housing in Washington, D.C. affordable for students at historically Black colleges and universities (HBCUs). Ross will intern in the nation’s capital this summer with the Black-owned network launched by renowned journalist and commentator Roland S. Martin.
