Meditation Room
The College of Engineering is a melting pot of different races, ethnicities, cultural backgrounds and belief systems. Some students set aside time during each day for meditation or prayer.
Students were using stairwells or empty classrooms in McNair Hall as spaces to practice their faith, and determined that the Martin Complex would meet that challenge with greater intentionality for the benefit of every student, faculty and staff member.
The fourth-floor Meditation Room is the Martin Complex planners’ response to that fundamental individual need and constitutionally protected right, freedom of religious expression. At A&T, we recognize the whole person in our classrooms and laboratories, and that they are individual persons before they are engineers, computer scientists or any of the other career destinations for which our university prepares students.
No reservation or prior permission is required to use this space.
