S.I.S.T.E.R.S.
S.I.S.T.E.R.S. (Students Inspiring Success Through Education Retention and Service) is a two-year retention-focused mentoring program designed to promote overall academic and social development in female students at North Carolina A&T.
Target Population:
First-year female students entering the university as a NC resident, and attended the SISTERS Summer of Success Program through the Aggie Success Academy Summer Bridge Program within the Center for Academic Excellence.
Program Overview:
- Attend monthly meetings/workshops to enhance personal growth and development.
- Be housed together in the same residence hall for their first year.
- Take College Success (FRST-101) as a cohort.
- Participate in a variety of workshops promoting professional development.
- Participate in social activities that promote relationship building and a sense of belonging.
- Participate in various service activities to enrich their college experience.
- Freshman members will be assigned a Peer Mentor from the S.I.S.T.E.R.S upper class cohort.
