Small Farm Leadership 360

THE SMALL FARM LEADERSHIP 360 INITIATIVE is a hands-on, in-depth learning experience designed to help small farms thrive. Offered by Cooperative Extension at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University, it brings together the expertise of Cooperative Extension and the local knowledge of public and private community organizations to give farmers skills for success.

The next module in the Small Farm Leadership 360 Initiative will be held in person Oct. 16 – 18 at the North Carolina Research Campus, 150 N Research Campus Dr, Kannapolis, NC.

The October sessions will include a dinner reception and roundtable discussion on Monday evening (Oct 16), followed by two days of learning on topics such as:

• Local and state resources for farmers.
• Post-harvest common diseases and best practices.
• Land tenure, heir property and farm succession.
• Keys to successful farming.
• Wholesale markets and niche markets.
• Successful entrepreneurship.
• USDA farm programs.

Attendance is free for small farmers—we especially encourage farmers of color to attend!
