For high school graduate applicants who are under the age of 21 at the time of enrollment and have less than 24 transferable hours, you must:
- Submit official high school and college transcripts for all you have attended
- Have a minimum 2.0 College GPA from the last school attended (This does not guarantee admission into all academic programs)
For GED/Adult diploma applicants who are under the age of 21 at the time of enrollment, you must:
- Submit official GED/Adult diploma certificate
- Submit official college transcripts for all you have attended
- Have a minimum 2.0 College GPA from the last school attended. (This does not guarantee admission into all academic programs)
Applicants under the age of 21 and have less than 24 transferable hours must have completed high school with at least a 2.5 GPA and have successfully completed the minimum course requirements (MCR) below:
- Four units of English
- Four units of Math (Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, and an Advanced Math)
- Three units of Science (Biological Science, Physical Science, and a Science with a Lab)
- Two units of Social Studies, including one unit of US History
- Two additional academic courses from English, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, World Languages, or Computer Science.
If you have not met these requirements, you must complete 24 transferable hours at a regionally accredited institution with a grade of “C” or higher in each course.
For applicants who are under the age of 21 at the time of enrollment and have 24 transferable hours, you must:
- Submit official college transcripts for all you have attended
- Have a minimum 2.0 College GPA from the last school attended. (This does not guarantee admission into all academic programs)
For applicants who are 21 years or older at the time of enrollment, you must:
- Submit official college transcripts for all you have attended
- Have a minimum 2.0 College GPA from the last school attended. (This does not guarantee admission into all academic programs)
For applicants who have earned an Associate of Arts or Associate of Science degree at a NC Community College, you must:
- Submit official college transcripts for all you have attended
- Have a minimum 2.0 College GPA from the last school attended. (This does not guarantee admission into all academic programs)
The Comprehensive Articulation Agreement enables North Carolina community college graduates of two-year Associate in Arts and Associate in Science degree programs who are admitted to constituent institutions of the University of North Carolina to transfer, having completed the general education core. Transfer students will be considered to have satisfied the UNC Minimum Course Requirements (MCR).
For applicants who have earned an Associate of Applied Science degree at a NC Community College, you must:
- Submit official high school transcript (refer to guidelines above based on age)
- Submit official college transcripts for all you have attended
- Have a minimum 2.0 College GPA from the last school attended. (This does not guarantee admission into all academic programs)
