Costs and Financial Aid

The Office of Student Financial Aid is dedicated to making sure that every deserving N.C. A&T student can afford this life-changing college education. We work individually with students and their families to find the best financial aid and payment options to suit your particular financial situation.

How Much Does A&T Cost?

As a public university, N.C. A&T offers a tremendous educational value, particularly for in-state students. The actual cost of your education will depend on several factors: how many credits you plan to take each semester, whether you will live on or off campus, and whether you are a North Carolina resident. (Note:Transfer students from any other North Carolina college or university are considered new students at N.C. A&T and must renew their residency status for tuition purposes.)

What Types of Financial Aid are Available?

All N.C. A&T students, including transfer students, are eligible to receive financial aid to help pay for this important educational investment. Financial aid is available in the form of grants and scholarships — awards that do not have to be repaid — as well as work-study jobs and low-interest student loans from the federal government.

How Do I Apply for Financial Aid?

Start by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). This single application is all you need to apply for grants, loans, and work-study aid at most colleges and universities. To qualify for N.C. A&T scholarships, you will need to fill out a separate scholarship application.
