Scholarships for Graduate Students

The Office of Student Financial Aid primarily coordinates undergraduate scholarships. Prospective graduate students are encouraged to contact the Graduate College or the department in which you intend to major for additional information. 

The general endowed scholarship application is available each academic year beginning February 1st. to be considered for all endowed scholarships, please visit the Aggie Scholarship Application Portal and submit your completed form to the Office of Student Financial Aid. The priority deadline is March 1st, however applications will continue to be accepted and reviewed after this date based upon available funding. Students who qualify for multiple scholarships will be awarded the scholarship with the criteria to which they most closely align. All recipients of endowment awards are required to submit a thank you letter in appreciation of the generous contributions made to the university by donors.

Graduate students may also find scholarship opportunities from outside and endowment scholarship sources.

Endowment Scholarships

These scholarships are privately donated funds that are given to North Carolina A&T students each year from private gifts made by individuals, groups or companies. They are awarded to students based on a wide range of criteria to include: major, academic achievement, leadership and/or financial need. Endowment scholarships specific to graduate students are listed below.

J Niel and Jacquetta Armstrong Endowed Scholarship

Enrollment: North Carolina A&T State University’s Master’s program
Eligible Majors: Teacher Education or School Administration
Classification: Graduate
GPA: 3.0 or higher

Lelia L. Vickers Leadership Studies Doctoral Program Endowed Scholarship

Enrollment: North Carolina A&T State University’s Doctoral program 
Eligible Majors: Leadership Studies
Classification: Graduate 
GPA: 3.0 or higher
Preference will be given to students who are economically disadvantaged.

Vincent T. Snipes Endowed Scholarship Fund

Enrollment: North Carolina A&T State University's Master's program 
Eligible Majors: Mathematics, Secondary Education with an undergraduate degree
Classification: Graduate 
GPA: 3.0 or higher
Possess a valid teaching license for Mathematics (grade 9-12). 
Must complete at least six (6) semester hours per term (fall, spring, summer).
