How to Submit Information for Publications
Written Copy
While a reasonable amount of research and editing is conducted to ensure accuracy and writing that is consistent with the Associated Press Stylebook, the Office of University Relations is not responsible for inaccurate information submitted by faculty, staff, students, alumni and others for inclusion in university publications. Incorrect information will not be reprinted unless University Relations is at fault. In addition, University Relations reserves the right not to publish questionable and substandard materials.
Articles and briefs must be submitted as Microsoft Word or plain text documents that do not contain cells or tables. Use the tab feature and not the space bar for indenting paragraphs and creating columns. Written materials will only be accepted via email or a file hosting service such as OneDrive, SharePoint, Dropbox, etc. Information received after the deadline will be considered for the next issue if it is still timely (evergreen).
Photos and Ads
Photographs may be submitted electronically in *.jpg or *.tif format. To ensure good quality reproductions from digital files, the resolution should be at least 300 dpi.
Advertisements must be professionally designed and submitted in PDF format using the appropriate dimensions. Ad copy must contain accurate information. Contact Sandra Brown (see "Where to Send") for further details about ads.
