Local dignitaries joined North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University leaders – including many students – to officially break ground Thursday, Feb. 22, for Bluford Residence Hall, the university’s first new dormitory in nearly two decades.

North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University power couple Henry E. Frye ‘53 and Shirley T. Frye ‘53 have been immortalized in a statue that pays tribute to their legacy in the city of Greensboro and across North Carolina.

Ronald Simmons, of Master Blend Family Farms in Kenansville, North Carolina, started his business in 2012, became N.C. A&T’s Small Farmer of the Year in 2018 and returns this year as keynote speaker for the week's luncheon event.
