N.C. A&T - N.C. State Research Partnership
In recent years, N.C. A&T and N.C. State have been forging a closer partnership, in accordance with the directives coming from the National Institute of Food and Agriculture (NIFA) for land-grant universities within the same states to collaborate on research and Cooperative Extension projects.
As a result, eight combined research initiatives from the N.C. A&T- N.C. State Research Partnership were developed in 2012. As you prepare your proposals as principal or co-principal investigators, you must do so with these initiatives in mind. The overarching goal will be to create stronger impacts in North Carolina and in the communities we serve.
The Office of Agricultural Research also encourages you to join one of the working groups that are forming. These groups were initiated during the N.C. A&T/N.C. State Research Collaboration Meeting in July, 2013. Six working groups formed around issue areas within the combined research initiatives, and members began discussing opportunities and barriers to producing positive impact in these areas.
Faculty who were not able to attend are invited to engage with any of these groups by contacting any of the participants listed, or to contact one of the coordinators, Dr. Shirley Hymon-Parker at N.C. A&T, or Dr. Lisa Guion Jones at N.C. State
Please contact the Office of Agricultural Research if you have questions.
