Scholarships for Current Students
The North Carolina A&T Office of Student Financial Aid administers a variety of scholarship programs that recognize superior academic achievement, leadership qualities, and potential contribution to the scholarly community of the University. The following are scholarships available to current N.C. A&T undergraduate students.
College and Departmental Scholarships
Many colleges and departments offer scholarships to current N.C. A&T students participating in specific academic programs. Departmental scholarships are most often awarded to continuing students who have demonstrated excellence in meeting the eligibility criteria for their scholarship while enrolled at N.C. A&T. However, some departments also make scholarships awards to prospective students as a means of encouraging them to enter their academic department or to be involved in an activity or initiative for which they have responsibility. Additional information regarding Departmental Scholarships may be found on the websites for the respective academic departments.
Endowment Scholarships
Every academic year, in conjunction with North Carolina A&T State University Schools & Colleges, the Office of Student Financial Aid selects and awards recipients for endowed scholarships as funding permits. Endowed scholarships are established through private donations to the University. First preference will be given to students who complete an application between February 1st through March 15th. Award amounts will vary based upon available funding each academic year. For a list of endowment scholarships by school and college please click here.
Outside Scholarships
N.C.A&T recognizes outside scholarships as any funding awarded directly to a student by a business, organization, group, or individual not tied directly to the institution. These scholarship can be based on a variety of criteria including but not limited to academic merit, financial need, community service, area of study, organizational affiliation, place of residence or employment, and ethnic or religious background. It is important to note outside scholarships may affect the amount of need-based financial aid you are allowed to receive in your total financial aid award.

General Scholarships
As funding becomes available throughout the academic year, you may be considered for general scholarship funding based upon the criteria for that award. In most cases an application is not required unless otherwise notated and award amounts will vary. Please keep in mind that satisfactory academic progress and a completed FAFSA for the current academic year are required.
Note: Actual award criteria are established annually based on the size and strength of the class and availability of scholarship funds. The university reserves the right to revoke or change the award terms due to actions such as, but not limited to, enrollment status, maintaining satisfactory academic progress, violating student code of conduct, etc. Scholarship programs are subject to change due to financial constraints.
