More than 1,500 undergraduate, more than 200 master’s and almost 60 doctoral students became members of N.C. A&T’s spring Class of 2024 in commencement ceremonies Friday, May 10, in the Steven Tanger Center for the Performing Arts and Saturday, May 11, at Greensboro Coliseum.

Chapter 291 of Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University has inducted 31 students into the nation’s oldest and most selective collegiate honor society for all academic disciplines.

Three Cadets Chosen for Georgetown University’s Security Studies Summer Institute

North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University Air Force ROTC cadets Camryn Agee, A’Thalia Hinton and Christen Johnson, were selected to attend Georgetown University’s Security Studies Summer Institute. This highly competitive program, which is offered at no cost to participants, is designed to provide insight into what it means to work in the field of security studies.

Adrina Greenlee Bass ‘04, an assistant attorney general at the North Carolina Department of Justice, will serve as speaker for the North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University Student Honors Convocation on Wednesday, April 12, from 10 a.m. to noon at Harrison Auditorium. The event will include the presentation of academic honors and excellence awards.

North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University will be the first of 10 historically Black colleges and universities (HBCUs) to host George Hofstetter’s new lecture series on hacktivism and Black creativity. The goal of the lecture series is to discuss topics that “inspire students and faculty to build at the intersection of disruptive innovation and social justice.” The event will take place Thursday, March 2, at 6 p.m. in the Deese Ballroom of the A&T Student Center.

N.C. A&T Creates Manufacturing Courses for Launch of MxD Learn’s Virtual Training Center

North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University has collaborated with MxD Learn to create online courses for the launch of its Virtual Training Center (VTC). The courses developed by N.C. A&T’s Center of Excellence in Product Design and Advanced Manufacturing (CEPDAM) aim to close the skills and perception gaps in modern manufacturing in order to build a nimble and digital-oriented workforce.
