What is our Mission?

The mission of the Aggie Source Food Pantry is to support individuals by alleviating the stress associated with short-term food insecurity and other financial constraints, through the collection of non-perishable and shelf-stable food items.  

How to Apply?

The Aggie Source campus pantry for food and personal care items officially opened on February 5, 2019. The Aggie Source Food Pantry is located at 205 Nocho Street, Suite 115, in the old Sebastian Health Building. The food pantry is run primarily by students, with the goal of serving our students to help fight a societal issue that plagues our communities: hunger and food insecurity.

In collaboration with the College of Agricultural and Environmental Science and Student Affairs, this facility is the first of its kind at North Carolina A&T and will provide temporary relief through critical food services to students at North Carolina A&T.

We hope to serve as a model for how communities can develop their own healthy food environments and enterprises by engaging, educating, and empowering them.

Additionally, the program will provide our students, faculty, and staff with the opportunity to volunteer and give back to our campus community by furthering our mission of service and engagement.




How to Give?

Please support the Aggie Source Food Pantry by making an online gift today, or contact us to discuss how to give and discover how you can make an impact by helping others take part in the Aggie experience. You can also support the pantry by donating canned goods, non-perishable, and personal hygiene items.  Below are a few suggested non-perishable items for consideration:

Become a Volunteer



  1. Aggie Source Food Pantry and Clothing Rack potential volunteers must view the instructional video before applying to volunteer. The instructional video can be accessed by logging onto 1891Connect and join the Aggie Source portal.
  2. Potential volunteers should complete the Volunteer Application in its entirety. Once the application is approved by administrators, the potential volunteer will be contacted based on their availability indicated in the application.
  3. Volunteers are required to attend the Aggie Source Food Pantry and Clothing Rack Orientation/Training Session before volunteering with the pantry. Individuals and Groups should arrive 30-minutes before their scheduled shift for training. An orientation/training session will be offered on the second Monday of each month.

  1. Volunteers are expected to fulfill their obligations to the Aggie Source Food Pantry and Clothing Rack. The Volunteer Application, located on the Aggie Source 1891Connect portal, requires potential volunteers to indicate their preferred work setting and hours of availability. Potential volunteers will be contacted by Aggie Source Coordinator as needed prior to the date of service to confirm attendance.
  2. Volunteers are expected to complete a variety of tasks while volunteering at the Aggie Source Food Pantry and Clothing Rack. Some of the tasks are as follows: greeting guests upon arrival, guest check-in, guest shopping, weighing donated goods, sorting/labeling/stocking donated goods, pantry clean-up, participating in food drives and special events, and providing office supportt.
  3. Volunteers must notify the Aggie Source Coordinator if they are no longer able to attend, at least 24 hours prior to their date of service. Failure to do so will result in the forfeit of all Aggie Source volunteer privileges for the semester. Volunteers will be given one warning before consequences ensue. Special consideration will be given in case of an emergency.

The Aggie Source food pantry is located at 205 Nocho Street, Suite 115 (the old Sebastian Health Building). We are open to currently registered students during regular hours of operation. For more information about donation drop-off, please contact us at 336.285.4453.
