Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund Criteria

The Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund III (HEERF III) provided funding to institutions to support student learning during the COVID-19 pandemic.  North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State has established the following funding to assist students:

Emergency Funding

  • Must be enrolled in a degree-seeking or certificate program for Spring 2023
  • Must request funding by completing the application and submitting supporting documentation
  • Students are highly encouraged to setup direct deposit for refunds

 Aggie Pride Grant

  • Must be enrolled in a degree-seeking or certificate program for Spring 2023
  • Currently maintaining Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) or on an approved SAP appeal plan
  • Students do not need to apply for the Aggie Pride Grant (Need Based).  Those who qualify will have the award automatically credited to their account until funding is exhausted.

Aggie Pride Scholarship (Merit)

  • Must be enrolled in a degree-seeking or certificate program for Spring 2023
  • Must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 (or higher)
  • Amount may vary
  • Students do not need to apply for the Aggie Pride Scholarship (Merit) Grant. Those who qualify will have the award automatically credited to their account until funding is exhausted.

Dining Scholarship

  • Each student who selects a university dining plan will receive a $250 dining scholarship. Students do not need to do anything to apply. The scholarship will be applied to each student's meal plan.
  • Please note, if at a later date a student discontinues a meal plan and seeks a refund, the dining scholarship will not be refunded.

 Housing Scholarship

  • Each student in University Housing will receive a $250 housing scholarship. Students do not need to do anything to apply. The scholarship will be applied to each student's housing agreement.
  • Please note, if at a later date a student discontinues housing and seeks a refund, the housing scholarship will not be refunded.

 Aggies at the Goal Line Scholarship

This is a degree-completion program designed to help former Aggies who left the university before completing their degrees return to earn their bachelor's degrees. This scholarship provides financial support to new and continuing returning undergraduate students enrolled in the Aggies at the Goal Line Degree Completion Program. 

Scholarship Criteria

  • Student must have not been enrolled at N.C.A&T for at least two years (24 consecutive months).
  • Have a minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA at the time of leaving the university or after Academic Forgiveness has been applied.
  • Have earned 90 or more credits towards a bachelor’s degree requirement.

Amount

  • The funding will assist, returning students with the payment of tuition and fees for the academic year and past due balances if needed.
  • The amount will not disburse until the verification of credit hours after census each semester.
  • Students need not apply. Those who qualify will have the award automatically credited to their account.
